Anyway, France was bad and we didn't want anything from there anymore. If you were in Washington D.C. and you went to lunch at the House Office Building you couldn't buy french fries. Instead they had "freedom fries".

When I heard about it, I told my father and he said that during World War I when Germany was bad, you couldn't buy a hamburger. It was called a "liberty steak". I guess we showed them not to mess with us.
