If you see a penny on the ground do you pick it up? Some people laugh
at me when I do, so I took a look to see if I was being silly.
I'm not a very 9 to 5 kind of guy. My income is from several sources, so I did some calculating to see how picking up a penny compares with my other jobs.
It takes me about one second to pick up a penny, for which I get paid, that's right, one penny. That's 60 cents a minute, which is $36 per hour. If I picked up pennies as a full time 8 hour a day, 5 day a week job, it turns out I would make $72,000 a year.
Now each time I see a penny, I pick it up and I think to myself, "I'm
making $72,000 a year."
