Why am I Thankful?
Because I have a partner that is on the same page, but doesn't require that we be on the same word.
Because I have a partner that is trustworthy and I feel safe when I'm with him.
Because I have a partner that cares deeply about the entire world.
Because I have a partner that is honest, humble and hungry.
Because I have a partner that is a partner and not an owner.
Because I am free to live, laugh and love whenever I can.
Because I have a partner that does not require that I suffer just to show him I care.
Because I have a partner that is compassionate.
Now when my partner is reading this he may feel overwhelmed or perhaps he doesn't recognize his own brilliance, but what I hope he will understand is that - these are not things he strives to do, or things he should have done, but that these are things HE HAS ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED! There are no big shoes to fill, no self doubting required. He just simply has to wake up in the morning and start living his life. Because he does all this for me I am able to do it for many other people.
Because then I am able to have other relationships that are on the same page, but I don't require them to be on the same word.
Because then I am trustworthy and others feel safe with me.
Because then I am someone who cares deeply about the entire world.
Because then I am a person that is a partner and not an owner.
Because then I am a person that is honest, humble and hungry.
Because then those who choose to join me in my journey are free to live, laugh and love whenever they can.
Because then I am a person that does not require others to suffer just to show me they care.
Because when I am shown compassion I am able to deal compassionately with others.
That is why I am THANKFUL!
